Many professionals within a èßäÊÓÆµ help to support èßäÊÓÆµ’ social and emotional wellbeing, mental health, and success at all tiers. This includes èßäÊÓÆµ counselors, general education-funded èßäÊÓÆµ psychologists, èßäÊÓÆµ social workers, èßäÊÓÆµ nurses, other specialized instructional support personnel, and community partners.The is a resource to guide PPS building administrators and student service providers in thinking about the skills and competency that different groups of general education funded student support staff bring to èßäÊÓÆµ communities to assist in organizing teams to effectively deliver service across tiers.

Planning Effective Student Services Across Tiers

At the beginning of each èßäÊÓÆµ year, all student service providers and building administrators should schedule a time to meet to review the comprehensive èßäÊÓÆµ psychologist plan (CSPP), comprehensive èßäÊÓÆµ counseling plan (CSCP) and the community in èßäÊÓÆµs/social work plan. - First, teams should conduct a needs assessment included in the worksheet including a review of existing data (e.g. Successful Schools Survey, FIT, CR-TFI) to identify student and family strengths and needs.
