  • Our PPS community's voice is central to shaping our 2025-26 budget

We have been listening carefully to families, our dedicated educators and staff, and, importantly, our èßäÊÓƵ, through meetings, town halls, and advisory groups. We firmly believe that those who are closest to our èßäÊÓƵ and the work we do should have a real say in shaping the solutions. What we heard resoundingly was clear: Let's focus on the core foundations of learning, safeguard our classrooms, and invest in the programs and approaches that we know make a positive difference for our kids.

    Community Engagement Activities So Far:

    • Focal Group Engagement

From October 2024 - December 2024, PPS hosted sessions with diverse community members joining each session. District leadership and staff heard their perspectives, including their insights on district strengths, weaknesses, and prioritization of areas of focus.

      Some of the groups included:

      • RESJ Community Advisory Committee

      • Migrant Education Parent Advisory Council

      • Title VI Indian Education Indian Parent Committee

      • Community Budget Review Committee

      • Early Literacy Grant Advisory Committee

    • Community Priorities Survey

From October 21 - November 30, 2024, nearly 4,000 community members took our Community Priorities survey. The majority of respondents were parents, followed by staff, teachers, èßäÊÓƵ, community members, and administrators:
