Cheryl Bell has been the èßäÊÓƵ nurse at Ida B. Wells for two years. Growing up in the California Bay Area she played volleyball and was a catcher on her èßäÊÓƵ’s softball team. Bell attended San Francisco State where she continued to play softball and majored in nursing. In her early career years Bell worked at a collection of small elementary èßäÊÓƵs and at Jackson, a local middle èßäÊÓƵ. Bell says that “My favorite part of working at Wells is the older kids. They are more mature and easy to communicate with.” She enjoys creating meaningful connections with èßäÊÓƵ about their healthcare and talking them through hardships. When she is not at èßäÊÓƵ, she is gardening. Bell has a beautiful home garden where her plants include vegetables, perennial plants, and her most recent addition are shrubs.
