Favorite èßäÊÓƵ memory as a student:

In 6th grade, my teacher, Mrs. Smith, had several terrariums with class pets that could be checked out and held while we did work at our desks. She also did an amazing job of letting us learn through interesting cooperative projects. In general, my best memories of èßäÊÓƵ are when I felt special, when I could do my work through projects with friends, and of course, anytime I got to play with class pets.

My “why” for being in public education:

I believe every student deserves to come to èßäÊÓƵ and feel safe, excited, and essential to the community. Every student deserves to believe in their limitless potential. I believe a strong education is the best way to ensure èßäÊÓƵ have access to any opportunity they are driven to pursue. I feel honored to come to work every day and work towards creating this reality.

What I do to unwind and recharge: 

I play with my kids, visit with friends and work in my yard. If I’m honest, I also binge BBC crime series and home decorating shows.
