    Our comprehensive èßäÊÓƵ counseling program supports all èßäÊÓƵ and fosters partnerships between èßäÊÓƵ, staff, families, and community members in order to eliminate the achievement gap and equip all èßäÊÓƵ to achieve their full potential.

     

    COUNSELOR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY

    • School Counselors work with all èßäÊÓƵ to encourage a safe èßäÊÓƵ climate of trust and respect

    • Deliver classroom lessons that align to ASCA standards

    • Facilitate small groups

    • Meet individually with èßäÊÓƵ for brief individual support

    • Help èßäÊÓƵ who are struggling to make positive behavior choices

    • Collaborate with parents/guardians, teachers, support staff, and administration

    • Maintain confidentiality of èßäÊÓƵ and their families unless there is a need to know or safety concern

    • Provide education and information about èßäÊÓƵ' social-emotional needs
