You can register online if ALL of the following apply:
- Your child is NEW to PPS
- Your èßäÊÓƵ did NOT attend a PPS Pre-K locations: Boise-Eliot/Humboldt, Clarendon, Creston Annex, Dr. MLK Jr, Faubion, Grout, Jason Lee, Kelly, Marysville, Lent, Rosa Parks, Sacajawea, Sitton, Whitman, Woodlawn
- Your student does NOT have an IFSP and did NOT receive services from Multnomah Early Childhood Program (MECP)
- You are enrolling your child in your neighborhood èßäÊÓƵ and NOT a CBO/Charter
- You have an email address and access to a computer

Hello Kindergarten Families,
Welcome to kindergarten at Bridger Creative Science School! We are your kindergarten team - Christi Braun, Lauren Wahl-Stephens, and Karen Hadley - and we are so excited about the year ahead! We have two kindergarten classes, led by Lauren or Christi, with Karen supporting both groups. Look for an email in late August letting you know who your child’s teacher will be.
Kindergarten is such a magical time of growth and exploration. We strive to create classrooms that are play based, constructivist learning spaces, grounded in strong relationships. Kids are active learners, empowered to ask questions and solve problems together. We will support their growth as independent thinkers and caring community members. We look forward to partnering with you on this journey.
To help us get off to a smooth start, our year will begin a Popsicle Playdate, individual visits for each child and family and a first day of èßäÊÓƵ with a smaller group of classmates.

Kindergarten Ramp Up: Aug 26th-29th

Individual visits (child/family and teacher)- August 26th and 27th- Schedule for sign up coming in late August

Half class start- Either August 28th or 29th - Everyone will have the chance to attend a full èßäÊÓƵ day with a smaller group of classmates:
* Students with last names from A-L will attend full day on August 28th (Not attending on August 29th)
* Students with last names from M-Z will attend full day on August 29th (Not attending on August 28th)

Beginning Tuesday, September 2nd, everyone attends together.
In late August, we will have more information to share about your child’s class placement and signing up for individual visits. (In case you start thinking about èßäÊÓƵ supplies- all your child will need is a backpack, water bottle and lunchbox.)
In the meantime, you're invited to Summer Meet-Ups hosted by the BCSS PTA! This is a great way to connect with kids and families in our èßäÊÓƵ community.
We are looking forward to starting our kindergarten adventure together!

Tuesday, August 5th: 10am - 12pmJoin us at our Rain Garden and playground for a casual morning of play and connection!
Saturday, August 16th: 10am - 2pm
Join us for Community Cares Day, a day set aside to clean up our èßäÊÓƵ yard in preparation for èßäÊÓƵ' return.
This includes time for exploration, fun and snacks!
Tuesday, August 19th 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Join us for an evening of summer fun and community connection. Pack a picnic if you'd like!
Everyone is welcome.
All events are held at Bridger Creative Science School, 7910 SE Market. Meet us in the Rain Garden or on the playground.
