Introducing the Girls Head Soccer Coach Kwabena Boateng

    Hello Rough Rider family!

My name is Kwabena Boateng and I am ecstatic to begin my journey in the True North as the new Head Coach for the Women’s Soccer Program! I am a PIL & Portland native graduating from Benson HS c/o 2011. After playing a year of collegiate soccer at Monroe University in New Rochelle, NY, I transferred to St. John’s University in Queens, NY to attain my Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Nothing has meant more to me so far in my career than working with the youth in Portland through soccer, so I continue to strive to leave a positive imprint upon the community that had such a positive impact on my upbringing. Looking forward to this great opportunity to begin a longstanding legacy at Roosevelt HS and the Portland sports community!

Kathleen Sullivan is an experienced non-profit executive with a proven track record of driving growth and ensuring long-term sustainability for organizations. With a Ph.D. in Urban Studies and Planning from Portland State University, Kathleen has dedicated her career to empowering communities and fostering inclusive environments.

Kathleen has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Oregon Health Sciences University and Portland State University School of Public Health, teaching courses on social gerontology and families and aging. Additionally, she has provided consulting services through Optimal Aging, where she developed and implemented statewide diversity training and secured funding for studies on the aging experience of LGBTQ individuals.

Kathleen is also a lifelong tennis player and is thrilled to work with the girls on the Roosevelt High School Varsity Tennis Team, where she focuses on effort, learning, and where mistakes are the positive result of trying something new.

Annaisabel Perez is the new varsity head softball coach at Roosevelt high èßäÊÓƵ.
